Welcome to Desert Rose! I am Monica Rose. Using only the finest quality ingredients, I have crafted my own unique recipe (after many, many attempts!) for your #1 from scratch, gourmet cheesecake. My top priority is your tastebuds happiness. I am an El Paso, Texas native who moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in my early teens and come from a family of cooks who own a New Mexican restaurant. My cheesecakes are sold in their restaurant and have been Trip Advisor rated #1 in the city of Albuquerque for years. Now that I’ve moved to Lubbock, Texas I plan on making myself your favorite cheesecake lady in this city as well. Not only do I bake, but I cook on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays are always Navajo Tacos, which is an Indian frybread topped with your choice of beef or chicken, beans, your choice of New Mexican style red chile, green chile or Christmas style (both red and green), cheese and all the veggie fixings. On Thursdays, I have a rotating menu. Some favorites have been Green Chile Enchilada plates, Fideo Loco and Posole and Tamales. I’ll be expanding on that menu with time! All meals are by preorder only, to be picked up at my bakery. Catering is also available!
